Problem
The nature of sharepoint roles and permissions is complicated. SharePoint admins didnt have access to easy access to site change reports - which they generally need every 6 months for due diligence and reporting purposes.

The nature of sharepoint roles and permissions is complicated. SharePoint admins didnt have access to easy access to site change reports - which they generally need every 6 months for due diligence and reporting purposes.
Results
Created a new feature called "Site history" focussed on providing SharePoint admins to easily create reports on site setting changes for the purpose of audit. The feature is now bundled with SharePoint advanced management package which generates additional revenue for Microsoft.

Once the report is generated user can download it as an Excel file. In future the report will be available in the UI itself.
